On the morning of December 7, Ziyuan Li, Vice President of Wuhan University, Wei Lu, Dean of our School, and Qian Dai, CPC Deputy Secretary of our School, led a delegation of our School to visit Sungkyunkwan University in Korea.

The teachers and students were warmly welcomed by Jaehyun Kim, Vice President of Sungkyunkwan University, Professor Sam Oh, Professor Wonsik Shim, Professor Gaya Nadarajan, Professor Youngseek Kim and students of Sungkyunkwan University. The two sides signed a memorandum of understanding and held a meeting on academic exchanges, mutual visits between teachers and students, joint scientific research and other aspects of cooperation between the two universities.

Jaehyun Kim gave a welcome address. He introduced Sungkyunkwan University from the aspects of development history, scientific research and student training, and looked forward to further strengthening personnel exchanges and promoting talent exchange between the two universities.

Ziyuan Li introduced the running situation of Wuhan University and the close cooperation background between the two sides. He hoped that the two universities would continue to carry out in-depth cooperation in education, teaching and scientific research in combination with their academic advantages and international needs.

Wei Lu and Kim Youngseek signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of library and information science, which was witnessed by the vice presidents of both parties.

At the subsequent meeting, Wei Lu gave a detailed introduction to our School from the aspects of the history, institutional organization, personnel training, discipline construction, faculty and staff, and social service, and sent an invitation to the teachers and students of Sungkyunkwan University, hoping that they would visit our School, and constantly expand and deepen the areas of cooperation between the two sides.

Fan Zhang, Associate Researcher at the Department of Information Management Science, shared the theme on The Role and Challenge of Artificial Intelligence and Other Technologies in Cross-Cultural Communication. Jiawei Shao, postgraduate student of our School, Chuyue Zhang, Lixiang Meng, and Zhicheng Jiang, undergraduates of our School, on the theme of The Development of E-commerce in China and the Global Connection of Cross-Border E-commerce.

Before the meeting, accompanied by Professor Kim Youngseek, the teachers and students visited the old campus of Sungkyunkwan University. Under the guidance of the commentator, they learned about the important historical and cultural heritage of South Korea, such as Munmyo Confucian Shrine and Seonggyungwan National Academy, and the history and development of Sungkyunkwan University.

This visit has consolidated and deepened the friendship between the School and the Department of Library and Information Science of Sungkyunkwan University, and is an important measure for the School to strengthen the cultivation of top-notch innovative talents and create a new pattern of international cooperation. During the visit, the teachers and students also visited the Korean National Assembly Library, Yonsei University and Ewha Womans University.
