On the evening of Sept.1^st and the morning of Sept.2^nd, the school of information management, Wuhan University hosted the opening ceremonies for 2018 part-time graduate students and 2018 full-time graduate students respectively. Secretary of Party Committee of the School of Information Management, Fu Xingrong, Vice-Secretary of Party Committee of the School of Information Management, Hu Wei, staffs working in Graduate Program Office and over 360 new graduate students attended ceremonies.

Secretary Fu showed warmly welcome to new graduate students and then he introduced the history and recent development, subject construction, faculties and some relevant situations of the School of Information Management. He also proposed the hope that every graduate student could catch opportunities, accept challenges, foster the sense of collective honor and be a responsible student.

At the meeting, Xie Xiaoshuang introduced the regulation about instructional management of part-time graduate students. Wang Fei introduced the regulation about instructional management of full-time graduate students including the cultivation plan, curriculum, courses selective methods and so forth. Besides, Li Muyan, who is the counsellor for 2018 newcomers, introduced matters such as the scholarship for graduate students, graduate student union of the School of Information Management, safety education and requirements for academic practices.

After meeting, the classes of different major had their own orientations at the School of Information Management. Teachers and professors met students and communicated about the course situations, adviser selection, research work, study and life with students in order to help them to adapt to new life and environment as soon as possible.
